Plans to boost immigration to the province

Newfoundland and Labrador continues to make ongoing efforts to accelerate immigration to their province and plans to increase the number of permanent residents annually to 5,100 by 2026. This year, Immigration, Refugee, Citizenship Canada (IRCC) allocated the province 1,050 nominations through the Newfoundland Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP), and the entry of 442 applications under the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP). • Increasing immigration staff to support newcomers navigating the immigration system
