BC PNP’s most recent draw issued invitations under all five pathways under the Skills Immigration and Express Entry streams,

  • SI – Skilled Worker
  • SI – International Graduate
  • SI – Entry Level and Semi-Skilled
  • EEBC – International Graduate
  • EEBC Skilled Worker

The British Columbia Skills Immigration Stream is a collection of immigration pathways within the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP).

British Columbia’s nominee streams are designed to attract workers and graduates with the skills, education, and experience that can help support the BC economy. British Columbia may nominate successful applicants for Canadian permanent residence.

This is the second draw BC PNP has held this year. So far, a total of 334 candidates have been invited in 2022.

British Columbia has continued to hold a separate draw for candidates with experience in NOC codes 0621 and 0631. These targeted draws were first implemented for the purpose of balancing labour market needs across sectors in the province. The BC PNP may adjust the program requirements as needed in response to evolving labour market needs.

Targeted BC PNP draw: 31 invitations

This draw invited candidates with experience in occupational codes 0621 (Retail and wholesale trade managers) and 0631 (Restaurant and food service managers). The minimum score requirement has increased by four points from BC’s previous draw for these occupations.

Express Entry BC categories (EEBC) minimum SIRS score:

  • Skilled Worker: 110
  • International Graduate: 110

BC Skills Immigration categories minimum SIRS score:

  • Skilled Worker: 110
  • International Graduate: 110

General BC PNP draw: 201 invitations

The following BC PNP draw targeted all other NOC codes.

Express Entry BC categories (EEBC) minimum SIRS score:

  • Skilled Worker: 110
  • International Graduate: 92

BC Skills Immigration categories minimum SIRS score:

  • Skilled Worker: 103
  • International Graduate: 90
  • Entry-level and semi-skilled: 78

Do I need a job offer for BC’s Nominee Programs?

Unless you are eligible for BC’s International Post-Graduate category, you will require a job offer and support from a BC employer to qualify for BC PNP Skills Immigration. However, candidates may not require a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) for BC immigration. The British Columbia’s Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) offers work permit support letters to successful nominees, which can be used in lieu of an LMIA.

How do BC PNP EOI draws work?

Candidates that meet the requirements for BC’s Skilled WorkerInternational Graduate, or Entry Level and Semi-Skilled Worker pathways can submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the province. Once a candidate creates an EOI profile, they are ranked by the province’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) and given a “SIRS” score. The highest-ranking candidates will receive an invitation from BC to apply for nomination. After receiving an invitation, candidates have 30 days to prepare and submit their online application to the province. Nominated candidates are then invited to apply to the federal government for Permanent Residence.

When is the next BC PNP draw?

The BC PNP typically holds nominee draws every Tuesday evening. Each week, BC alternates between general draws and BC PNP Tech draws.

The next BC PNP draw is expected on January 18th, 2022, targeting BC PNP Tech candidates.
